Hills Hoi Polloi was born from a desire to bring people together, to connect in meaningful, wholesome ways. To slow down, talk, make, learn and do the things we don’t always find time for, with others.

The Hills are a magical place. The people who live here are often drawn to it from a desire to live a little differently - a little slower, a little more creatively, a little left of centre.

Our weekly gatherings at the Kallista Mechanics Hall offer a regular place to come together and sink into whatever that means for you. Take the time to learn something you’re curious about. Practise an old skill or try a new one. Read, make, tinker, play, talk, listen, puzzle or simply enjoy sitting around a table in the company of others.

Our roving events take us around the mountain, giving us the opportunity to dream up all sorts of soulful ways to gather. Think workshops, flea markets, bush dances, live music and more. Grounded gatherings with a hint of the unexpected. A little speakeasy (minus the booze), a little old-school, a little off-line and always small enough to feel personal.

Most of all, Hills Hoi Polloi is about being together, in community, and the joy and wellbeing that comes from that. A place to put your phone away, meet good people, and spend time doing something that leaves your cup full.

Good people doing good things, together.

A cozy corner of The Hills to create, chat, and tend to your soul
